Support Outdoor Education
Annual Appeal

Donations to the New York State Outdoor Education Association (NYSOEA) support our mission as a professional organization that promotes interdisciplinary lifelong learning in, for, and about the outdoors and seeks to inspire appreciation of the environment by all people.

We hope you will continue to support us as we pursue our mission through ongoing programs, like the programs listed below, to meaningfully engage future generations in outdoor learning. Please consider making a donation so we can continue to support our members and affiliates, and offer scholarships, grants, and other opportunities to get future generations outside. Your tax-deductible contribution will advance the efforts of NYSOEA to connect people with the wide-open, boundless educational wonders of the great outdoors.

All donations, large and small, are greatly appreciated.  Donations of $100 or more will be entered into a raffle for a pair of waterproof binoculars and donations of $250 or more will receive a one-year complimentary NYSOEA membership.

The New York State Outdoor Education Association represents its members and affiliate organizations by promoting outdoor and environmental education throughout New York State. Each year, our professionals connect people of all ages and walks of life with the outdoors and the endless discoveries that surround us in nature.

We have much to celebrate and be thankful for! We know that we are stronger as a group than as individuals, and through the wisdom of the founders of this organization, we enrich each other by the company we share, even from afar.

NYSOEA's impact over the past year:
  • Through an Educational Partnership with NYSDEC and with support from SUNY-ESF's Center for Native Peoples and the Environment - hosted a two-day training for educators across NYS.
  • Over 160 people from across the state attended our hybrid (virtual and in-person) Annual Conference.
  • 50 educators gathered at Taconic Outdoor Education Center for our annual Winter Weekend.
  • NYSOEA Board Members hosted a series of events and workshops all over the state ranging from hikes, meet ups, and webinars.
  • Our Equity, Access, and Inclusion Committee is tirelessly seeking grants, resources, and funding to host future programs to increase the inclusivity and diversity of our membership and overall organization.
  • Our Annual Conference and Maple Festival raised over $1,200 this past year for our Brother Yusuf Campership Fund, providing not only scholarships funds to our affiliates, but also giving youth the opportunity to experience summer camp.
