We Stand With You

Environmental and Outdoor Educators COVID-19 Resources
Dear NYSOEA family,
It is during these unprecedented times that we reflect on the core of our organization and that is you, our constituents. We are here for you and because of you. It is our hope that you are all well, abiding by current guidelines, and keeping yourself and your family safe. Our board members are working remotely and pursuing creative avenues to help our members and affiliates during this crisis by connecting us together, sharing resources, and keeping you up to date on current best practices that any of us encounter and share. Even though some of us in the EE field have lost our jobs or are on furlough, we are all here for each other!

Here is what NYSOEA has brewing:
  • Board members are each hosting Zoom meetings to hear from members. Each week will have a different theme with regards to building resiliency in our membership during this crisis. We want to hear what is happening on the ground at your site and in your professional life. Zoom meeting details will be emailed.

  • We are working to create a very unique service called 'Request to Offer Help'. We all have needs and questions in this uncertain time, and we also have a strong community of skilled people able to help! NYSOEA created this page for members to share their needs and respond to others.

  • Visit our Facebook and Instagram pages!!! Conrad Baker, our VP of Communications and Technology, has been posting with tips, tricks, links to free resources, webinars, trainings, virtual activities, and more! If you would like to add something to these posts, please email Conrad at vp_communications@nysoea.org
