CENTRAL REGION DIRECTORCarlin Shew discovered a love for the outdoors during family camping trips to Allegany State Park as a kid. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Studies in 2017 from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and shortly after fell in love with environmental education during her role as an Aquatic Invasive Species Educator and Boat Steward with NYS Department of Environmental Conservation. She accepted the role of Finger Lakes FORCES Program Specialist in 2019 with NYS Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation in Trumansburg, NY.
She loves working alongside and educating students in the beautiful Finger Lakes gorges and enjoys the variability of the seasons. Carlin is a lover of all natural things, but especially plants, and spends her free time hiking, kayaking, singing and painting. |
