Welcome to the New York State
Outdoor Association (NYSOEA)
NYSOEA is the professional membership organization supporting outdoor
and environmental education and interpretive services in New York State
since 1968.
NYS Outdoor Education Association Mission NYSOEA is a professional organization
that promotes interdisciplinary life-long learning in, for, and about
the outdoors and seeks to inspire appreciation of the environment by all
people.
  
NYSOEA members are:
- teachers and administrators
- youth leaders
- environmental educators
- natural and cultural history interpreters
- high school and college students
- professors and researchers
- writers and illustrators
- volunteer and retired outdoor enthusiasts

NYSOEA Goals
- Promote public awareness of the value of outdoor and environmental
education
- Foster lifelong appreciation and stewardship of outdoor environments
- Help teachers and youth leaders enrich their curricula and
programs by using the outdoors
- Assist members expand their knowledge and skills for environmental
education
- Act as a unified voice for the fields of outdoor and environmental
education, interpretation, and recreation
